The Association of Curling Professionals is continuing to grow opportunities at club level.

entering its third year, the Association of Curling Professionals (ACP) is helping build the future of curling by providing training, accreditation, and support for professionals working at clubs across the country.

The ACP offers two distinct training streams—Teaching Pro and Managing Pro—with both aimed at helping candidates to work in curling.

“Our mission is to advance curling at the club level by training, developing, and supporting ACP professionals,” said Rob Krepps, ACP Executive Director. “We now have over 100 accredited members spread across the country, and we look forward to attracting more as we head into the 2026-27 curling season.”

The ACP’s Teaching Pro stream is designed to prepare candidates to deliver high-quality programs, clinics, and lessons for a fee. All candidates begin with their Associate Teaching Pro training, which includes a series of asynchronous online courses plus an in-person training camp in August. Candidates are typically accredited as Associate Teaching Pros by the end of September and can then move on to their Head Teaching Pro training.

The ACP’s Managing Pro stream is designed to prepare candidates for a variety of paid management roles within their clubs. It begins with a series of asynchronous online courses from June to August, followed by a couple of synchronous online workshops in September. Once accredited as Associate Managing Pros, candidates are then able to move on to their Head Managing Pro training.

“The ACP fills an important gap in our sport by training people who will truly make a difference at the club level,” said Bobby Ray, Director, Club Development and Membership Services at Curling Canada. “No matter whether they’re Teaching Pros or Managing Pros, all ACP members are trained to make meaningful contributions to their clubs and to build successful careers in the process.”
